Valentine's Day at the Beach Chalet and Park Chalet: Free dessert for the kids

Mark your calendar also for Valentine's Day at either the Beach Chalet or Park Chalet, sister restaurants at Ocean Beach in San Francisco. For "urban hipster" parents, finding a babysitter on Valentine's Day can be harder thanflagging a cab on Friday night. Park Chalet co-owner Lara Truppelli knows from personal experience that "little" Valentines like to share the love, so the Golden Gate Park-side restaurant - known for its relaxed, family-friendly vibe - is encouraging parents to bring their "Little Cupids" to dinner on Valentine's Day.

Kids will receive a complimentary caramel apple dessert special guaranteed to satisfy sweet teeth (and create a moment or two for their parents to have a grown-up experience, gaze into one another's eyes, etc.).
The Park Chalet's Valentine menu will include Dungeness Crab and citrus salad, as well as Slow Roasted Filet Mignon, served with Black Truffle Crushed Yukon Gold Potatoes and Wild s ($27.95). Both the Beach Chalet and Park Chalet's regular menus will also be served.

For reservations, call the Beach Chalet and Park Chalet direct at (415) 386-8439. Reservations are also available online, as well as the Beach Chalet's entertainment calendar (live music most nights and always
free), at .
